Manifesto

We won’t endlessly prolong the migrant crisis for political gain: Labour will end hotel use for asylum seekers by clearing the backlog by employing enough staff to process claims instead of wasting over £140 million trying to scrap human rights laws and fly migrants off to Rwanda in a shambolic publicity stunt that hasn’t even worked.
We won’t Crash the pound — at the heart of our economic plan is stability. Chaos and instability — five prime ministers in seven years — have held back investment. We will unleash it. With economic stability, certainty, and tough fiscal rules we will create the climate for low inflation.
Set up a new Office for the Value of Money to make sure money isn’t squandered on corrupt cronyism that has defined recent Tory government — every hard-earned tax pound should be used to improve the lives of ordinary Britons.
Get the NHS back on its feet — years of Tory austerity have brought the NHS to its knees with the NHS waiting list almost at 8 million. Waiting times for cancer patients have got worse every year since the Conservatives came to power in 2010. We will properly invest in our NHS, an extra 2 million operations, scans and appointments in the first year by paying doctors and nurses fair overtime pay to cut the backlog—paid for by scrapping non-dom status for the very rich.
This includes recruiting 8,500 additional mental health staff to drive down community mental health waiting lists which hit 1.2 million last year, paid for by abolishing tax loopholes for private equity managers — every young person will have access to a specialist mental health professional at school.
Under the conservatives, the UK armed forces have been ‘hollowed out’. The British army is now at its smallest size since it fought Napoleon. We will strengthen our national defences securing our future.
Reform planning laws to build 1.5 million more homes with first-time buyers getting first dibs.
Our budget is fully funded, fully financed, and fiscally responsible. A world away from 2019 — we’ve come a long way; two worlds away from Liz truss’s kamikwaze budget. We won’t give unfunded tax cuts to our mates.
We will introduce specialist domestic abuse workers in 999 control rooms and put specialist rape investigation units in every force across England and Wales. We’ll require police forces to use tactics and tools usually reserved for counter-terror and serious organised crime to get the most serious perpetrators off the streets.
We’ll use AI to diagnose cancer from scans because we know it saves money and helps reduce missed cancer diagnoses — it is double as effective as humans.
We have 5 long-term missions to end sticking plaster politics:
Get Britain building again,
Switch on Great British Energy,
Get the NHS back on its feet,
Take back our streets,
Break down barriers to opportunity.
